Food

Each day we provide a variety of primarily organic, fresh foods for lunch and snacks. We often eat home grown vegetables that the chlidren pick, such as corn, argula, chard, fava beans, tomatoes, or gather eggs from our chickens.
A typical weekly menu includes beans and quesadillas, pasta, fresh vegetables and cheese, lentils and rice, and seasonal fruits and salads.
We try to offer a variety of foods and old favorites that we know the children will eat. We also try to incorporate the children's favorite foods and meals, working with allergies, sensitivities, and food preferences and restrictions. Happy Baby participates in the federal food program, which oversees nutrition training and education for child care providers. Food is included in the cost of the program.

"My daughter Charlotte thrived at Happy Baby, she got really dirty, which meant (to me anyway) that she was allowed to explore at her own pace, to her own interests.”
